Orlando Mini Maker Faire Makerships

The 2012 Makerships have been awarded. If you would like to exhibit your project or art at Orlando Mini Maker Faire, please fill out an application on the Makers Page.

 

 

Do you have an AWESOME project that you want to exhibit at Orlando Mini Maker Faire 2012 but need the funds and tools to make it happen?

Orlando Mini Maker Faire has partnered with FamiLAB, Orlando’s Hackerspace (Community Lab) to provide three “Makerships” for makers in the Central Florida area.  These Makerships will provide funding and FamiLAB membership to help you complete your project.

Three Makerships are being awarded at this time:

Two Recipients:
$100 Project Stipend (can be used with FamiLAB discounts at vendors!)
3 Months of FamiLAB Membership at the “Maker” Level ($150 value!)

One Recipient:
$300 Project Stipend (can be used with FamiLAB discounts at vendors!)
3 Months of FamiLAB Membership at the “Maker” Level ($150 value!)

To apply for a Makership, please use the form below.  Groups are welcome to apply, but only one individual FamiLAB membership will be provided with each award.

We are accepting Makership applications until March 15th, 2012, however we encourage you to submit your application as soon as possible to allow time for any questions.

Fine print:

• Judging criteria and awards are at the discretion of the organizers of Orlando Mini Maker Faire.
• Existing FamiLAB members may apply for the funding, but will not receive the sponsored FamiLAB membership. You are welcome to apply for the Makership AND to fill out the “Call for Makers” form.
• Minors are not eligible to win, however a parent / guardian may submit the application indicating that the minor wishes to participate in the Young Makers program. The FamiLAB membership will be issued to the parent / guardian who will need to be present for FamiLAB access.
